Who Are the Anunnaki?

In paleo-contact research, the Anunnaki are sky travelers remembered as the children of Anu, the ancient sky figure tied to Sumerian and Akkadian divine names.

Who are the Anunnaki? The Golden Lake defines them as multi-race beings who came from the sky, not as one closed species:

Many people ask us about the Annunaki, thinking they were a specific species. The Annunaki, in ancient Earth languages, means something similar to, “Those who came from the sky, the children of Anu.” (Anu was a well-known ancient ET figure.) Annunaki referred to ETs in general and not a specific race; they contained multiple races. In those ancient days, large planet-ships housing many beings traveled slowly between star systems. Regular circuits of travel took ships through the Sirian system and the local star neighborhood, including your Sun.

What the names mean

Anunnaki and Anunna are the Mesopotamian name core. Etymology on this trail hears An / Anu as sky, -na as “of,” and Ki as earth: offspring of An, or beings of heaven and earth. Akkadian usage often means the great gods, and sometimes figures tied to the underworld.

Aessir (also spelled beside Norse Aesir) is the Nordic / Matias de Stefano name for tribal sky people who land for gold and mix with humans. Proto-Germanic ansuz and Sanskrit ásura sit on the same name bridge already mapped on this site toward Odin / Woden / Wotan.

Elohim is the Hebrew plural form for God, gods, or divine beings. In Bashar’s reading, Elohim in the Hebrew Bible often points to the Anunnaki. The same voice keeps a hard clarity: not every Elohim figure is Anunnaki.

In the Hebrew Bible, “Elohim” often refers to the Anunnaki. However, not all Elohim were Anunnaki—some were other beings encountered over time.

Gold, Earth, and Enki–Enlil

The Earth mission on this trail centers on gold, tribal sky-people politics, and two bloodlines under Anu.

Matias de Stefano names the landing party Aessir:

The Aessir landed on planet Earth in search of gold. The Aessir were similar to humans; while advanced, in many ways, they were still tribal; there were conflicts, wars, and wrestles between the Aessir people. They started to have children with humans.

Zecharia Sitchin’s Earth Chronicles (labeled popular paleo-contact) tells a parallel gold story for Nibiru: ore for a failing atmosphere, mining labor on Earth, and engineered workers who become Homo sapiens. Arrival windows on site material also cite Bashar’s deep genetic window (about 300,000 to 500,000 years ago) beside a Matias near-horizon landing (about 20,000 years ago). Those dates are separate source clocks, not one collapsed chronology.

Patricia Cori reads Anunnaki hunger as isolation and energy need, minerals first, then emotional and astral feed:

Enki and Enlil are the two great sons in the bloodline map. Enki is water, wisdom, and the Lord of Below. Enlil is wind, earth, and succession power. Bashar treats them as distinct lineages. Sitchin, Nibiru, and von Däniken

Zecharia Sitchin’s Earth Chronicles is the labeled popular paleo-contact spine many readers already know. In that telling, Nibiru is a long-period world whose people need gold for atmospheric repair, land on Earth to mine, engineer genetic workers, face a flood, rule Sumer as gods, and leave an open question of return. I keep Sitchin as that popular trail: clear, attributed, and useful, not as the only Anunnaki definition on this page.

Nibiru (Cori often spells Nebiru) is the way-station / home-world name in these paleo-contact streams. Neighbor planet lists on site material also name Cygnus, Vega, Maldek, Earth, and Moon / Mars bases. Those are labeled sky maps, not dig proof.

Erich von Däniken sits on the ancient-astronaut shelf with Hancock, Biglino, and Wallis as research company that strengthens this reading. The hybrid monsters trail via Bishop Eusebius quoting Manetho:

The classical framing around that quote also keeps Manetho / Herodotus / Diodorus / Strabo neighbors on long god and demigod rule spans (gods about 13,900 years; demigods about 11,000). I read those spans as paleo-contact memory of hybrid experiments near the end of Atlantis, not as a modern census.
