Three distinct cycles
Many knew by looking at the comet that had appeared in the sky for months before the comet struck the Atlantic Ocean, creating a tsunami that was the final deluge that washed over the Atlantean islands, wiping out that civilization in the last of 3 different destructions that occurred over thousands of years to the Atlantean landmasses.

During its 100,000 years of evolution, Atlantis rose and fell from greatness in 3 distinct cycles, knowing in its transformation the cold of barren icelands, as well as the warmth of tropical breezes. In each period, the natives achieved highly sophisticated standards of civilization and then, completing a cycle, fell into irreconcilable social decline. None, however, was more significant than the last civilization of Atlantis, which spanned a period of time dating from 27,000 to 10,800 BC, when it met with its tragic end.
Edgar Cayce saw visions of this continent of the past which had gone through 3 major periods of division; the first two occurred around 15,600 BCE, when the mainland was divided into islands. The three main islands of Atlantis Cayce named were Poseida, Og and Aryan.
Cayce states that the continent of Atlantis had three periods of self-destruction and that it was the third destruction that caused the sinking of the land into the seas. The first destruction had been the setting off of volcanic activity due to the weaponry the Atlanteans were using, the second destruction had been of fire caused by misuse of the technology.
The first of its major upheavals was, according to Cayce, in 50,722B.C., under the rule of Esai, a second around 28,000B.C., another vaguely described eruption in 22,006B.C. (Which he equates with the Biblical Flood), and its utter and most infamous destruction – that alluded to by Plato – near the end of the last Ice Age, in the centuries after 10,500B.C.

Atlantis was a much closer period that lasted from 210,000 BC to 10,014 BC. And it is helpful if we divide Atlantis into three periods: the early formative centuries, the middle struggling centuries of increasing self-awareness resulting in rising selfishness, and then the final migration period as Atlantis sank in stages.

- Ruta & daitya – 200,000 years ago up to 80,000 years ago
- Poseidonis – 80,000 years ago up to 9,564 BCE
In chapter IX, the authors wrote about Atlantis that “explosions of gas, floods, and earthquakes” razed Ruta and Daitya, the great islands left from the cataclysm of 200,000 B.C., and only the island of Poseidonis remained, the last vestige of the once grand continent of Atlantis.
These islands were lost in 75,025 B.C. Poseidonis survived to 9,564 B.C. when the ocean also devoured it.
Reseeding around 25,000 BCE
Anquel and his companions came to Atlantis in 25,000 BCE. This was at a time when Atlantis had been reseeded again with incoming souls. It was well before the Golden Age, which began around 14,000 BCE.

Five main epochs of Atlantean development
The whole Atlantean period lasted from about 250,000 BCE to about 10,000 BCE, and during this period of time there were five main phases of development:
First Phase: 250,000 BCE – 150,000 BCE Destroyed by volcanic activity
Second Phase: 150,000 BCE – 100,000 BCE Destroyed by the impact of a giant comet
Third Phase: 100,000 BCE – 52,000 BCE Destroyed when the use of anti-matter got out of control
Fourth Phase: 28,000 BCE – 18,000 BCE Destroyed by the violent shifting of the Earth’s magnetic pole which led to an Ice Age
Fifth Phase: 16,000 BCE – 10,000BCE
(This includes the Golden Age from about 14,000 BCE to about 12,500 BCE)
Destroyed by the shifting of the tectonic plates which caused major earthquakes and tidal waves.
All these dates are approximate. It should also be borne in mind that there was always a gap—in some cases many thousands of years—between a time of destruction and the establishment of a new civilization for the next phase.

Joanna: Various authors talk about Golden Atlantis lasting for different periods of time. Some say about ten thousand years and some only 1500 years.
How do you perceive this? Alariel: It was always going to be difficult to sustain a civilization at a very high vibrational level. You could achieve it if you vetted all those coming in to be born and excluded all those of lower vibration, only allowing in the souls with the very highest and purest consciousness. As Atlantis was considered to be a school of spiritual evolution for a wide range of beings, the input was never controlled that rigidly. It was hoped that with a majority of high vibrational people in place, they would inspire the incoming souls to higher achievement than they had managed in their previous lives elsewhere. Sadly that was not the continuing pattern during any of the five main epochs of Atlantean development, and each epoch became volatile and difficult to sustain. That is why the 1500 year period of time is the correct one as those conditions were so hard to keep in a stable and enduring balance for long periods of time. Keeping Atlantis going at the Golden Peak level even for 1500 years was a major achievement from our point of view.
