A Dweller on Two Planets is one of the key books of the 19th Century Atlantis canon. Frederick S. Oliver ‘channeled’ it. Oliver was born in Washington D.C. in 1866. When he was two, his parents moved with him to Yreka, California. Yreka lies just north of Mount Shasta, a huge dormant volcano in Northern California.

Oliver began the book at eighteen, in 1883-4. He was surveying the borders of his family’s mining claim. Suddenly he was writing in his notebook and could not stop. He ran home in terror. There he sat down and let his hand write.

These spells of automatic writing went on for several years. He wrote a few pages at a time. He finished the book in 1886. He died in 1899, at the age of 33.

While they rebuild, Zailm goes through a spiritual awakening. He withdraws to the Incalithlon. There he meditates and prays deeply in search of higher truth. Visions and spiritual teachers guide him. He comes to see that all life is connected and that one must live in harmony with spiritual principles.
