In Greek mythology, the moon is associated with the goddess Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo. Selene is also a lunar deity, often identified with the moon.

The Roman equivalent of the Greek Selene, Luna was the goddess of the moon.

In Norse mythology, Mani is the personification of the moon, and he is chased across the sky by the wolf Hati.

In Hindu mythology, Chandra is the god of the moon. The waxing and waning of the moon are associated with Chandra’s periodic curse.

The Chinese have a tale of Chang’e, a woman who becomes the moon goddess after consuming the Elixir of Immortality. The Jade Rabbit is often depicted as accompanying her.

John Lear’s Soul Catcher Theory

John Lear, son of Learjet inventor Bill Lear, theorized about alien presence on Earth and exposed information about the cube-shaped soul catcher on the moon. He described it as a six-mile-high tower in the middle of Sinus Medii, the center of the moon as seen from Earth. Photos from Lunar Orbiter 3-84M show this tower. Lear called it the soul catcher: when a person dies, the soul goes to it. There are several soul transmission stations on Earth and the moon, directing souls to the next lifetime.

When you are out in the desert or forest communing with the Moon and doing sacred work, you are going within. We do not mean to imply the Moon is barren and has no consciousness. The consciousness associated with the Moon is not meant to give you something, but to remind you of something. Like the tide, it can help pull the darkness out of you.
