Main city of Atlantis

Plato’s description

The capital city featured concentric rings: bridges connected zones, with a central island (diameter 5 stadia) housing the royal palace and temple.

He made circular belts of sea and land enclosing one another alternately, some greater, some smaller, two being of land and three of sea, which he carved as it were out of the midst of the island.

Critias 113d

The temple to Poseidon and Cleito was a stadium long, half a stadium wide, with ivory roof, gold, silver, and orichalcum decorations, including a gold statue of Poseidon in a chariot.

Half a stadion equals about 92.5 meters (303.48 feet)

The central island measures five stadia in diameter and includes a palace and temple to Poseidon.

5 stadia equals 925 meters (3034 feet)

Hot and cold springs supplied baths; the plain had irrigation ditches and a surrounding moat 10,000 stadia long. The moat in Plato’s description is rectangular, surrounding a 3,000 by 2,000 stadia plain, with a perimeter of 10,000 stadia (1,850 kilometers (1149 miles)).

3,000 stadia equals about 555 kilometers (344 miles).
2,000 stadia equals about 370 kilometers (229 miles).
10,000 stadia equals about 1,850 kilometers (1149 miles)

The area around the city consists of a level plain enclosed by mountains that reach to the sea.

The part about the city was all a smooth plain, enclosing it round about, and being itself encircled by mountains which stretched as far as to the sea.

Critias 118a

A main canal linked the sea to harbors filled with triremes. A trireme is an ancient oar-powered warship. Oars are long poles with a flat blade at one end, used to propel and steer a boat or ship through water by manual rowing.

They bored a channel right through to the outermost circle, which was (300 feet (91 meters) wide, 100 feet (30.48 meters) deep, 50 stadia long) and thus they made the entrance to it from the sea like that to a harbor.

Critias 115d

50 stadia equals 9,25 kilometers (574 miles)

Later generations added canals and harbors for access.

Harbors were crowded with vessels and merchants.

Resources include quarried stones in white, black, and red varieties, used for construction and docks.

The stone they quarried beneath the central island all round, and from beneath the outer and inner circles, some of it being white, some black and some red.

Society and Governance

Society was divided into 60,000 lots on the plain, each providing military resources like chariots and soldiers for 1,200 warships. Ten kings ruled absolutely but met every five or six years at the temple to enforce laws, inscribe oaths on an orichalcum pillar, and sacrifice bulls. Early inhabitants were virtuous, “obedient to the laws” and focused on wisdom over wealth. The island was rich in metals, timber, elephants, fruits, and herbs.

Location in the Atlantic Ocean

Plato describes Atlantis as an island in the Atlantic Ocean, beyond the Pillars of Heracles. It faces an opposite continent, the Americas?, which encircles the Atlantic and limits access to the Pacific without northern or southern circumnavigation—difficult in antiquity, especially during glaciation.

“This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean, for in those days the Atlantic was navigable; and there was an island situated in front of the straits which are by you called the Pillars of Heracles; the island was larger than Libya and Asia put together, and was the way to other islands, and from these you might pass to the whole of the opposite continent which surrounded the true ocean; for this sea which is within the Straits of Heracles is only a harbour, having a narrow entrance, but that other is a real sea, and the surrounding land may be most truly called a boundless continent.”

Timaeus

This indicates the opposite continent’s encircling nature, distinguishing it from Europe or Africa.

Ancient voyages to this continent occurred, but ceased by Solon’s time due to post-catastrophe impassability.

“But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea. For which reason the sea in those parts is impassable and impenetrable, because there is a shoal of mud in the way; and this was caused by the subsidence of the island.” This explains halted navigation, unlike continued access to Europe and northwest Africa.

Timaeus

The fertile plain lies in the island’s southern section, bordering the sea to the south with mountains to the north. The capital, centered in the plain, includes docks and a canal linking its rings to the sea.

“Looking towards the sea, but in the centre of the whole island, there was a plain which is said to have been the fairest of all plains and very fertile.”

“The whole country was said by him to be very lofty and precipitous on the side of the sea, but the country immediately about and surrounding the city was a level plain, itself surrounded by mountains which descended towards the sea.”

“It received the streams which came down from the mountains, and winding round the plain and meeting at the city, was there let off into the sea.”

“The docks were full of triremes and naval stores, and all things were quite ready for use.”

“The entire area was densely crowded with habitations; and the canal and the largest of the harbours were full of vessels and merchants coming from all parts.”

These detail the plain’s southern seaside border, northern mountain shelter, and the capital’s marine connections via canals and harbors.

A Dweller on Two Planets

A book channeled by Frederick S Oliver

Poseid, also referred to as Caiphul in historical accounts, was the capital city of Atlantis as described in Frederick S. Oliver’s A Dweller on Two Planets. This metropolis, home to approximately two million inhabitants, featured advanced urban planning with broad avenues, terraced residences integrated into artificial hills, extensive gardens, and efficient electro-odic transit systems. Surrounded by a protective moat connected to the Atlantic Ocean, it emphasized sanitation, lighting, and public maintenance under a limited monarchy governed by an elected emperor and a Council of Ninety.

The Incalithlon, known as the Great Temple of Poseid, stood as the spiritual core of Atlantean society. This massive pyramid-shaped structure, larger than the Egyptian Great Pyramid of Cheops, contained no windows and housed sacred elements such as the Maxin (an occult odic light), the Holy Seat, and the Unfed Light. It served as the venue for rituals, meditations, marriages, funerals, and moral trials, enabling individuals to engage with higher truths through cremation ceremonies and soul transitions via the Navazzamin gateway.

The Poseidii practiced monotheistic devotion to Incal, the Supreme Deity symbolized by the sun, focusing on principles of morality, karma, reincarnation, and cause-and-effect rather than miracles or polytheism. They affirmed divine intervention and guidance, as illustrated by the experiences of Zailm, a key figure and student at the Incalithlon’s associated academy. During a personal crisis, Zailm witnessed a divine manifestation, a glorious visitor, who provided solace and resolution, underscoring the society’s faith in spiritual oversight. The primary temple within Poseid was dedicated exclusively to Incal, reinforcing this unified worship.

Explanation for the different descriptions

The book “A Dweller on Two Planets” specifies a timeline for its events. The main story, set in Atlantis (referred to as Poseid), takes place approximately 12,000 years before the book’s completion in 1886, which corresponds to around 10,114 BCE. The sinking of Atlantis is described as occurring about 9,000 years before that same reference point, or around 7,114 BCE. Additional details include a structure built 12,727.5 years before 1886, aligning with the Atlantean era around 10,841 BCE. These dates are relative to the late 19th century and use Atlantean historical spans, such as centuries after key characters’ lifetimes, but no absolute Gregorian calendar years are stated directly.
Plato’s described sinking occurs earlier by about 2,500 years.

Past Life regressions

I see the statue of the very first leader of Atlantis, the founder. It is located in the center of the capital. It looks like a man holding a trident. It is similar to what others have imagined Poseidon to look like. I also see the trollies. They looked like a bullet train almost, rounded on the top and it comes in very steep in the front, like a very sharp line to reduce the friction of the wind.
