In Sanskrit terminology, Manvantara means “cosmic day” and Pralaya means “cosmic night.” Seven Manvantaras form one Mahamanvantara, equal to 311 trillion 40 billion years. This is followed by a Mahapralaya, or great cosmic night.
Currently, existence unfolds in the Fourth Cosmic Day within the Mahamanvantara. Previous days included the Saturnian Round, Solar Round, and Lunar Round. The present cycle is the Terrestrial Round.
Each cosmic round manifests progressively denser forms of matter and energy. The first root races emerged from higher dimensions and thus left no physical remains. Within each round, seven root races develop, each following the law of recapitulation.
The Polarians
The first root race inhabited the polar continent at the North Pole. Their bodies were semi-etheric and mutable, allowing alteration in size and form. They were in direct contact with their inner divinity.
Polarians were androgynous, embodying both creative forces. Procreation occurred through division of their semi-etheric bodies. Their existence represented an early recapitulation of human potential, preserved in present astral experiences.
The Hyperboreans
The second root race lived upon horseshoe-shaped lands around the North Pole, including regions corresponding to modern Alaska, Northern Europe, and the Nordic countries. Their bodies were gaseous in nature.
They possessed clairvoyant and clairaudient faculties, perceiving all dimensions and elemental beings. Like the Polarians, they were androgynous, reproducing by sprouting new life, analogous to plants.
During their era, Earth itself was condensing from an ethereal state into greater solidity.
The Lemurians
The third root race inhabited the continent of Mu, or Lemuria, millions of years ago. The landmass extended across the Pacific into regions of the Indian Ocean.
Lemurians averaged between 4 and 6 meters (19.69 feet) in height. They possessed a physical third eye, allowing direct clairvoyant perception. Their temples and cosmic ships reflected advanced knowledge, including use of atomic energy from minerals, plants, and metals.
Initially hermaphroditic, Lemurians later divided into two sexes. Under guidance of higher beings, procreation was conducted through White Tantra within temples, ensuring incarnation of higher souls.
A cosmic intervention introduced the Kundabuffer organ, stabilizing the planet but also generating temptation and ego. Misuse of sexual energy led many into degeneration, while others preserved the higher path. The continent was ultimately destroyed by earthquakes and fire, sinking into the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
The Atlanteans
The fourth root race lived on the continent of Atlantis, spanning much of what is now the Atlantic Ocean and linking the Americas with Africa and Europe. Atlanteans averaged about 3 meters (9.84 feet) in height.
Their civilization combined spiritual and material sciences. They practiced organ transplants, harnessed atomic energy from multiple sources, and used advanced spacecraft. Their clairvoyant abilities permitted direct study of the non-physical world.
Atlantean society diverged between those who preserved divine practices and those who fell into black tantra and misuse of science. Advances included brain transplants, nuclear weapons, and interplanetary travel. Ultimately, misuse of power led to catastrophic wars and destruction.
The Fall of Atlantis
Atlantis passed through four ages: golden, silver, copper, and iron. In the later ages, materialism predominated. The Occultan Society, a group of sages, foresaw the cataclysm and migrated to the continent of Grabonci, later Africa. They established centers of learning, including in Cairo, and built the Great Sphinx and pyramids.
The Sphinx symbolized the four elements: fire (lion), water (human), earth (bull), and air (wings). These represented essential virtues required for realization. Pyramids were constructed as instruments for observation of the stars, not only physically but through awakened clairvoyant faculties.
Catastrophe and Ercolubus
Continental destruction was attributed to cosmic events, including the influence of Ercolubus, a massive planet said to be many times larger than Jupiter. Its electromagnetic field is described as capable of producing cataclysmic volcanic, seismic, and climatic upheavals on Earth.
Atlantean and Lemurian submersions were linked to these cosmic influences. The teaching emphasizes that such truths can only be fully verified through direct spiritual investigation.
Practice to Investigate Atlantis and Earlier Races
A method is provided for direct investigation:
- Acquire intellectual knowledge of Atlantis, including maps.
- In meditation, recline in relaxation.
- Vividly imagine Atlantis in detail.
- Place imagination in a reflective, receptive condition.
- Combine imagination (feminine) with willpower (masculine).
Through this method, one may progress from imagination to inspiration and finally to intuition, accessing the Akashic records and perceiving directly the life of Atlantis.
