Huitzilopochtli is the Aztec god of the sun and war, the god who led the Mexica to the Valley of Mexico. These are the pages where he appears.
The god of the migration
On The Aztecs: Aztlan, the Five Suns and the Flood I follow the long walk from Aztlan to the Valley of Mexico. In the video Huitzilopochtli, His People, Their Ark and Migration From Aztlan the migration is guided by Huitzilopochtli, the priests carry their god in a coffer, and tabernacles go up at every stop, which the video sets next to the Hebrew Ark and the Exodus. In Aztlan’s Historical Dictionary: Aztec the Mexica first call themselves Aztecs after Aztlan and take the name Mexica once they settle in the Valley of Mexico under his guidance.
Sun, moon and stars
On The sun Sol Huitzilopochtli is the Aztec god of the sun and war. On The Olympian Gods he fights and defeats his siblings, the stars and the moon, and so becomes the primary deity. On Moon the moon goddess Coyolxauhqui is his sister, and her body becomes the moon after that battle.
His altars and Atlantis
W. Scott-Elliot, on The Story of Atlantis, sees the bloodshed at his altars as a survival from Atlantis:
It was only with the coming of the savage Aztecs that the harmless Mexican ritual was supplemented with the blood of human sacrifices, which drenched the altars of their war-god, Huitzilopochtli, and the tearing out of the hearts of the victims on the summit of the Teocali may be regarded as a direct survival of the elemental-worship of their Turanian ancestors in Atlantis.
W. Scott-Elliot, The Story of Atlantis

On Lost connection and greed a passage on the visions of Atlantis in Frederick Oliver’s book recalls the captives sacrificed on the pyramid temples to appease Huitzilopochtli lest he stop time.
The hummingbird and the Atlantean king
In Quatre Lettres sur le Mexique (1868) Brasseur de Bourbourg places the hummingbird of Huitzilopochtli beside the phoenix and the other sacred birds he gathers onto one American volcano, and sets the feasts of his month beside those of Atys. Karl Georg Zschaetzsch, in Atlantis, die Urheimat der Arier, makes Huitzilopochtli the Mexican name of the same Atlantean king the Peruvians called Inti Kapak and the Norse called Thor.
