When Atlantis started to devolve, temples were more elaborately decorated and the clothing of the priests became richer. Some of them started to wear rings symbolising their marriage to God. As egos became entrenched, the priests wore headgear to indicate their level of seniority: the higher the hat, the loftier their position. This proclaimed they were more important than the masses. People lost their connection to nature and started to worship indoors, with services of supplication rather than thanksgiving. The principle of joy and manifestation through gratitude was lost.
