The Legend of Starcrash

Dolores Cannon recorded this regression, published in The Legend of Starcrash. A hunter retells a legend of the old ones about the time the moon, the sun and the stars walked different paths. I keep the parts about the sky, the climate and the animals. The quotes are short excerpts for review and study.

In the old calendar the moon and the sun were in step.

It is said that there were 12 moon cycles for one year, exactly, all the time, every year.

Then a disaster broke that order and destroyed the old knowledge.

There were bright lights in the sky and the Earth shook. It was a very terrible time. The crops did not grow that year. Many people were killed and it was during that time when most of our knowledge was lost.

The survivors needed two or three generations to see what had changed. The moon and the sun no longer matched. The hunter says it was more like 13 and a quarter moon cycles to the year, and adds that he is a hunter and not good with numbers. Storms killed many people when winds brought trees down.

The sky itself went wrong:

It is said that at one point the paths of the stars and the sun reversed temporarily, to where the sun was rising where it should set, and setting where it should rise.

The legend does not say how long this lasted. The Earth shook again and the sun went back to its normal path. The moon and the stars stayed out of step with it. The hunter says all the stars seemed to shift together, as if the people had moved.

Before the change the winter winds came from another direction. Summers were warmer, winters less harsh and the snow lighter. The year and the days were a little shorter. He also describes lights in the sky in red, blue, green and white, seen even in daytime. Cannon took them for the northern lights. A comet is part of the story too:

The legends say it may have hit. When the shaking began, the comet was no longer seen.

Cannon then asks about large animals that vanished. His answer sounds like a mammoth to me (see Mammoths). He says it disappeared “When the Earth changed its path.”

It was said to be as big as a house. It had horns like oxen and large ears. And its nose could not be told apart from a tail. Long fur, lots of fur.

A later part of the session comes from the subject’s higher consciousness. It places the shift in the axis just after the time of the dinosaurs, with an earlier and smaller shift during it (see Dinosaurs).

All the shifts contributed to the ice ages. That first major shift mainly altered the climate flow to where many animals died suddenly and drastically of violent means. The second shift caused much of the planet to turn colder and thereby enter an ice age.

The same voice says that when the Old Ones first crashed in Tuin’s area, the climate was subtropical, “much like southern North America”. It turned arctic after an axis shift in the centuries between. A small group landed there because they had no choice. It was not the only ship, because a galactic civilization visited the Earth and was careless about where it landed. The natives had no weapons to harm it.

Greek Myth: The Myth and the 12-Moon Year

After Hades abducts Persephone, Demeter searches for her daughter and causes famine on Earth. Zeus brokers a compromise:

• Persephone spends one-third of the year (4 months) in the underworld with Hades.
• She spends two-thirds of the year (8 months) on Earth with Demeter.

In the earliest versions of the myth, the Greek year was conceived as a lunar year of exactly 12 months (12 synodic months ≈ 354 days). The “one-third” and “two-thirds” division therefore corresponds precisely to 4 lunar months underground and 8 lunar months above ground — making a perfect total of 12 moon cycles per year.

This 12-moon structure is explicit in the Homeric Hymn (lines 398–403 and 445–469) and reflects the old Attic lunar calendar before the later adoption of a 13th intercalary month.

Enuma Elish (Babylonian Creation Epic, c. 18th–12th century BCE)

Before the flood, the world is described as following a simpler cosmic order.

Tablet XI of Gilgamesh (the flood story) uses round 360-day calculations when counting time during the flood and its aftermath, reflecting the old schematic calendar.

Myth of the “Added Month”

Babylonian priests knew the true lunar year is about 354 days and the solar year 365¼ days.

To keep festivals in season, they periodically inserted a 13th (intercalary) month.

Some late scholarly commentaries and omens describe the 13th month as something the gods “added later” to the original perfect 12-month year after the flood or after a cosmic disturbance.
