Regenerative ceremonies

The term “regenerative ceremonies” comes from John Van Auken’s synthesis of Edgar Cayce’s readings, particularly in his book Edgar Cayce’s Tales of Ancient Egypt (A.R.E. Press, 2011). Cayce himself did not use this exact phrase in the surviving transcripts. Van Auken uses it to describe temple practices that combined spiritual rituals, altars, and crystal-based devices to raise vibrations and rejuvenate the physical body.

“According to Cayce’s readings, there were also regenerative ceremonies and devices that would raise the vibrations of initiates so as to rejuvenate their bodies. Cayce indicated that these were first used in Atlantis and then later became a part of Egyptian temple practice. We may have some evidence of these carved on some surviving temples.”

Atlantean Origins

Cayce described Atlanteans as able to live for hundreds of years while keeping a youthful appearance. They achieved this through regular rejuvenation using advanced crystal technology, especially the large cylindrical crystal known as the Tuaoi Stone or Firestone housed in a temple in Poseidia (the capital).

The crystal focused solar, cosmic, and earth energies. It was used not only for power generation but also to restore vibrational coherence in the body. Illness and aging were seen as results of lost vibrational balance. The Atlanteans used the crystal (and arrangements of smaller stones) to “burn destructive forces from the body” and encourage natural self-rejuvenation.

Some summaries of the readings mention periodic meditation inside circles of stones (6, 11, 22 or 24 stones) while holding clear quartz as a focal point for general rejuvenation and vitality.

Continuation in Egypt – The Temple of Sacrifice

Cayce stated that these Atlantean practices influenced the temple system established in Egypt during the time of the high priest Ra-Ta (a past incarnation of Cayce himself). The Temple of Sacrifice served as a place of physical cleansing and regeneration, similar to a holistic hospital. It prepared people for higher spiritual work in the Temple Beautiful.

A direct excerpt from Cayce Reading 281-25 describes the altars:

“In the temple of sacrifice there were the altars to cleanse the bodies of those things that hindered in body, that were emblematical of the source of the stumbling block.”

Other summaries from the readings explain that the Temple of Sacrifice focused on:

• Removing physical and energetic pollutants or dysfunctional elements from the body.
• Using advanced Atlantean technology combined with spiritual practices.
• Music (reed and stringed instruments) to arouse the body’s centers and connect spiritual forces to the physical system.
• Symbolic and practical purification at altars so the body could become “an ideal temple for the soul.”

Once purified in the Temple of Sacrifice, individuals could advance to the Temple Beautiful for mental and spiritual transformation.

Summary of How the Practices Worked

Cayce portrayed these regenerative activities as a combination of:

• Vibrational raising through crystals, devices, sound, and focused intention.
• Purification at altars to clear hindrances (physical, mental, or karmic).
• Holistic preparation of body, mind, and spirit so the person could live longer, stay healthier, and serve higher purposes.

These temple-based ceremonies and devices originated or were already in use in Atlantis and were later developed further in Egypt under Ra-Ta.
