Much of the Atlantis literature I read rests on a claim of clairvoyance, either as the method the authors used or as a faculty they say the ancients had. These are the pages where I wrote about it.
Clairvoyance as a method
The Theosophical histories of Atlantis say openly that they were read clairvoyantly. A. P. Sinnett, in his preface to W. Scott-Elliot’s book, which I give on The Story of Atlantis – focus on the occult investigation of Atlantis and its sub-races, opens his case like this:
For anyone who will have the patience to study the published results of psychic investigation during the last fifty years, the reality of clairvoyance as an occasional phenomenon of human intelligence must establish itself on an immovable foundation.

My summary on What does the story of Atlantis by W. Scott-Elliot claim about the lost continent? names Sinnett as the author of that preface and notes that the account relies on occult clairvoyance, not mainstream archaeology. Bishop Leadbeater claimed to have developed clairvoyant abilities in India, and his clairvoyant investigations into the afterlife and human evolution were particularly influential.
Clairvoyance in Atlantis
Annie Besant and C. W. Leadbeater describe Toltec science in The Civilisation of Atlantis:
Science was carried far, for the use of clairvoyance being habitual, the processes of nature, now invisible to most, were readily observed.

In the same book, on Turanian, in Ancient Chaldaea., coloured light aided the development of divination, clairvoyance and intuition, and the priests decided, aided in some cases by clairvoyant insight, to which planet a child belonged.
Rudolf Steiner, on Lecture 6: Atlantean Consciousness, Initiation, and the Christ Impulse, describes the Atlantean epoch as a time of dim clairvoyance, when outer objects were seen with hazy outlines and surrounded by coloured auras. On The Mission of the Ancient Hebrew People Steiner sees Abraham as the turn away from it: the substitution of Isaac with a ram symbolised the renunciation of the last remnants of ancient clairvoyance. Samael Aun Weor, on Our Hidden Connections to Atlantis, Lemuria & Beyond, gives clairvoyant and clairaudient faculties to the Hyperboreans and a physical third eye to the Lemurians.
Su’is in Oahspe
Oahspe calls the faculty su’is. On God’s Book of Ben the text sets what “yesterday it was said” against what is known “to-day”, and counts su’is (clairvoyance and clairaudience) among the things that hundreds of thousands now know to be so.
