Psalm 48:2 describes Mount Zion, the hill in Jerusalem, as the equivalent of “Mount Zaphon," indicating its sacredness. The reference likens Jerusalem, the dwelling of Yahweh, to the sacred stature of Mount Zaphon in Canaanite tradition, suggesting that Yahweh’s holy mountain held the same divine significance as Baal’s mountain.
Early mentions of Yahweh appear in Egyptian texts, placing him among the nomads of the southern Transjordan.
"The Elyown Took the Earth * YHWH's portion was the DesertElyown -This term is likely derived from the Hebrew word "Elyon," meaning "Most High." In ancient texts, "Elyon" is a title used for God, often referring to the supreme deity or the highest god in a pantheon.Took the Earth: This suggests that Elyown, the Most High, claimed dominion over the entire earth or was allotted the earth."YHWH's portion was the Desert":Portion was the Desert: This indicates that the specific territory or domain assigned to YHWH was the desert, a place often associated with divine encounters and significant events in the Hebrew Bible (e.g., the Exodus, Moses' wanderings). The phrase might reflect a concept from ancient Near Eastern religious traditions where different gods were believed to have dominion over specific regions or aspects of nature.
Here, Elyown (the Most High) has authority over the earth, while YHWH is specifically associated with the desert.
Biblical References:Deuteronomy 32:8-9: This passage speaks of the division of nations by the Most High (Elyon) and mentions that YHWH's portion is His people, Jacob, but earlier traditions might have influenced this allocation of regions or roles to deities.Psalms 78:40 and Psalms 106:14: These refer to the Israelites' experiences in the desert and their relationship with YHWH during that time.
Worshiped Yahweh from the late Bronze Age onward.

Worship Yahweh at Mount Gerizim, with their own version of the Torah.
Initially worshiped Yahweh within a Jewish context, later viewing Jesus as the incarnation of God.
Yahweh was an ancient Levantine deity, and national god of the Israelite kingdoms of Israel and Judah.
Though no consensus exists regarding the deity's origins, scholars generally contend that Yahweh emerged as a "divine warrior" associated first with Seir, Edom, Paran and Teman, and later with Canaan.
The god's name was written in paleo-Hebrew as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 (יהוה in block script), transliterated as YHWH; modern scholarship has reached consensus to transcribe this as "Yahweh".
There is almost no agreement on Yahweh's origins.
Regarding the name yhwꜣ, Michael Astour observed that the "hieroglyphic rendering corresponds very precisely to the Hebrew tetragrammaton YHWH, or Yahweh, and antedates the hitherto oldest occurrence of that divine name – on the Moabite Stone – by over five hundred years."
Van Der Toorn concludes: "By the 14th century BC, before the cult of Yahweh had reached Israel, groups of Edomites and Midianites worshipped Yahweh as their god."
The video you shared is a talk by Paul Wallis, who challenges the traditional Christian view of Yahweh, the God of the Hebrew Scriptures, and contrasts it with the portrayal of God by Jesus in the New Testament.
Differences Between Yahweh and the God of Jesus
Wallis argues that the character of Yahweh, as depicted in the Old Testament, is markedly different from the character of God that Jesus portrays in the New Testament.
Yahweh is often shown as a violent and jealous deity, commanding the extermination of entire populations, such as in the story of Saul and the Amalekites in 1 Samuel 15.
Jesus emphasizes love and kindness, qualities not typically attributed to Yahweh in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Wallis cites examples from the Old Testament where Yahweh commands brutal actions, such as genocide and the slaughter of enemies, including women and children.
According to Wallis, Jesus did not endorse Yahweh’s laws.
Instead, Jesus offered a new understanding of God that moved away from the legalistic and violent aspects of Yahweh’s character.
Wallis points out that Jesus and his followers, including the early church leaders, ultimately rejected the strict adherence to Yahweh’s laws, as seen in the decisions made at the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15).
Historical Context of Yahweh:
Wallis suggests that Yahweh was originally seen as a tribal god or even a colonizing entity that was later adopted as the supreme deity by the Israelites.
Wallis argues that the Bible as we have it, with the Old and New Testaments combined, creates a misleading continuity between the violent Yahweh and the loving God Jesus describes.
Adonai, Shaddai, Jehovah, and Elohim:
Jehovah, the self-existing one;
In Jewish tradition, Adonai is often used as a substitute for the Tetragrammaton (YHWH), the sacred and unpronounceable name of God, to show reverence and avoid misusing God's name.
When reading scripture, Jewish people traditionally say "Adonai" in place of YHWH.
"I understand that the origin of the word 'Javeh' or Jehovah appears to be lost in mystery, but apparently indicates One who is Eternal, and true to his covenant" .
"The countenance of Jehovah is turned from His servants and darkness falls upon their hearts" .
"Out of thy sweet lips speaks the Lord Jehovah to his old" .
Jehovah forgotten, the lazily-accepted dreams of Zul too vague and unsatisfactory now that they had to be faced, and all around the hungry eyes of men and women who coveted his place" .
Gilgal – Circle of standing stones
The conquest begins with the battle of Jericho, followed by Ai (central Canaan), after which Joshua builds an altar to Yahweh at Mount Ebal in northern Canaan and renews the Covenant in a ceremony with elements of a divine land-grant ceremony, similar to ceremonies known from Mesopotamia.

Genesis and Atlantis

Temple of Cholula
A measuring basket or b) An ephah Ephah is mentioned again in Isaiah 60:6 as a transporter of gold and frankincense from Sheba, who shall thus bring enlargement to Judah and praise to Yahweh.
Cherubim
The status of the cherubim as constituting a sort-of vehicle for Yahweh is present in Ezekiel's visions, the Books of Samuel, the parallel passages in the later Books of Chronicles,[13] and passages in the early Psalms: for example, "and he rode upon a cherub and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind."
This has implications for the understanding of whether the ark of the covenant in the Temple was literally YHWH's throne or simply an indicator of YHWH's immanence.
Abram & Sarai
[1] Now the LORD Elohim YHWH had said unto Abram, Get thee you out of thy your country, and from thy your kindred, and from thy your father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee you:[2] And I will make of thee you a great nation, and I will bless thee you, and make thy your name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:[3] And I will bless them that bless thee you, and curse him that curseth thee you: and in thee you shall all families of the earth be blessed.[4] So Abram departed, as the LORD Elohim YHWH had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five 75 years old when he departed out of Haran.[5] And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.[6] And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh.
And the Canaanite was then in the land.[7] And the LORD Elohim appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy your seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD Elohim YHWH , who appeared unto him.
[8] And he removed from thence there unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD Elohim YHWH , and called upon the name of the LORD Elohim YHWH .
[17] And the the LORD Elohim YHWH plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.
Tower of Babel
And they had brick for stone, and slime bitumen had they for morter.[4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.[5] And the LORD Elohim YHWH came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men human builded.
Answer: YHWH
[6] And the LORD Elohim YHWH said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
[8] So the LORD Elohim YHWH scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.[9] Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD Elohim YHWH did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD Elohim YHWH scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

And the YHWH Elohiym established an enclosed garden eastward in Eden, and there they put the humans.
