[1] And it came to pass, when men human began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,[2] That the sons of God Assendence of Aessir saw the daughters of men human that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.[3] And the LORD Enlil said, My spirit appearance shall not always strive with man altered humans, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be limited to an hundred and twenty 120 years.[4] There were giants, Nemhir, in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God Assendence of Aessir came in unto the daughters of men human, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men human which were of old, men human of renown - Methuselah, Lamech, Adam, Seth..[5] And GOD Anu saw that the wickedness rebellion of man altered humans was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.[6] And it repented the LORD Enlil that he had made man altered humans on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.[7] And the LORD Enlil said, I will destroy man altered humans whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man altered humans, and altered beast, and the altered creeping thing, and the altered fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.[8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD Enki.[9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man altered human and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God Anu.

Atrahasis

Each time, the god Enki advises a wise man, Atrahasis, on how to survive the disasters.

Again, Enki warns Atrahasis and instructs him to build a massive boat to preserve life.

One of the gods, Enki, suggests creating a balance between gods and humans, setting limits on human population growth to prevent future disturbances.

Ninmah and Enki

Hypothetically, if Enki lived for thousands of years, and could make sons with many women, how would the complete pedigree chart look like?

Creating a complete pedigree chart for a hypothetical scenario where Enki lived for thousands of years and had offspring with many women is a challenging task, as it would involve a vast number of individuals and complex relationships.

Which Sumerian tablet refers to Enki and Ninmah?

The story of Enki and Ninmah, also known as the "Ninmah and Enki" myth, is found in a Sumerian text known as the "Ninmah and Enki" or "Enki and Ninmah" text.

The story features Enki (Ea) and Ninmah (Ninhursag) engaging in a humorous and somewhat ribald competition to create various human and animal beings, with Enki often needing Ninmah's help to fix his creations.

The "Ninmah and Enki" myth is a fascinating example of Sumerian literature and mythology, showcasing the gods' creative abilities and the humorous aspects of their interactions.

His mother Nammu (creatrix also of Abzu and Tiamat) "brings the tears of the gods" before Enki and says

Enki then advises that they create a servant of the gods, humankind, out of clay and blood. Against Enki's wish, the gods decide to slay Kingu, and Enki finally consents to use Kingu's blood to make the first human, with whom Enki always later has a close relationship, the first of the seven sages, seven wise men or "Abgallu" (ab = water, gal = great, lu = man), also known as Adapa.

Enki assembles a team of divinities to help him, creating a host of "good and princely fashioners".

Samuel Noah Kramer believes that behind this myth of Enki's confinement of Abzu lies an older one of the struggle between Enki and the Dragon Kur (the underworld).

And Nammu told him that with the help of Enki (her son) she can create humans in the image of The Aessir (Anunnaki).

The great flood stories

In this version of the flood story, Ziusudra is warned by the god Enki and also builds an ark to save himself, his family, and various animals.

In the Sumerian version, Ziusudra is warned by the god Enki of the impending flood and is instructed to build a large boat or ark to save himself, his family, and various animals.

"When the gods decided to send a flood, Enki, the god of water, warned Ziusudra in a dream to build a boat to save himself, his family, and the seed of all living creatures.

Ziusudra followed the instructions of Enki and built the boat.

Enki granted him eternal life as a reward for his faith and obedience."

Enki [the god of water and wisdom] said to her: 'Nintu, stop weeping!

For I myself will do something, and the people will be preserved in a wall.' (...) Enki said to Zi-ud-sura: 'O Zi-ud-sura, son of Ubara-Tutu, tear down the house and build a boat, abandon possessions and look for life, forsake worldly goods and preserve the soul alive!
