Palenque, the Maya city in Chiapas, is one of the places Ignatius Donnelly kept returning to for parallels with the Old World. These are the pages where it appears.
The Tablet of the Cross
On The Egyptian Colony I quote Donnelly on the most famous relief:
In the celebrated "tablet of the cross," at Palenque, we see a cross with a bird perched upon it, to which (or to the cross) two priests are offering sacrifice.
Ignatius Donnelly, Atlantis: The Antediluvian World

On The Origin of Our Alphabet he points to the human face that appears in the hieroglyphs of the Tablet of the Cross.
Arches, coins and head-dresses
On The Central American and Mexican Colonies Donnelly explains that the Palenque arch is made by gradually overlapping the strata of the building, citing Baldwin’s Ancient America. On Gold and silver the sacred metals of Atlantis he mentions a round copper coin with a serpent stamped on it found at Palenque. On American Evidences of Intercourse with Europe Or Atlantis he shows an elephant-trunk head-dress from Palenque, and on Artificial Deformation of the Skull a stucco bas-relief from its palace.
Pakal and mythical time
On Famous Sirian people I describe Pakal as a 7th-century ruler of the Maya city-state of Palenque. In Ancient Aliens at War: Disguised as God’s Servants Erich von Däniken describes the hidden staircase found in 1952 beneath the Temple of Inscriptions and the engraved lid showing Pakal. On The Last Mayan Date of Recreation of the World I note that some Classic Period inscriptions, such as those from Palenque, refer to events in mythical time before 3114 BCE.
