Introduction
On February 8, 2019, Paul Power introduces “The Moment,” the 65th entry in the book Keys: Love Letters from God by Robert Nelson. He reflects on the concept of enlightenment and the significance of the present moment.
The Holy Instant and Enlightenment
The video begins by referencing a Nordic rune, Dagaz, which symbolizes the holy instant of enlightenment. This moment is described as the end of illusion, marking the beginning of awareness. It is the point at which individuals question if there is a better way to live.
Nelson’s message emphasizes that, during this moment, people are called to remember their birthright. He states that empires and principalities tremble and shatter at this instant. The “false god of fear” is said to scream in response, but its influence only lasts a short time before the voice of truth prevails.
The Present Moment
Nelson explains that this moment is eternal—now is all there is. He highlights that nothing in the past can threaten anyone unless power is given to it, and the future is irrelevant until it becomes the present. He asserts that time, as humans understand it, was never created by God.
The division of life into past, present, and future is seen as a product of fear, which arose from separation. This division mirrors the human perception of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Nelson challenges the belief in time as an illusion that supports separation, maintained by fear.
Control and Unity
Nelson insists that what can be controlled can be used to control others. However, he states that neither God nor the individual can be divided or controlled. He calls for unconditional acceptance of both oneself and others, rejecting the concept of time in favor of eternity.
He emphasizes that individuals should not mourn the past or fear the future because the present, or the “now,” is where enlightenment occurs. The Kingdom of Heaven is found in this moment, and humanity embodies that glory.
Joy and Wholeness
The speaker reiterates that eternity is found in the moment lived with joy. Joy is not a possession, but a state of being. To live joyfully is to help others do the same. Nelson explains that wholeness has always existed and will continue to do so—it is eternal, just as God and humanity are eternal.
He encourages listeners to shift their perception back to wholeness, which has always been present, waiting for acceptance. The message concludes by urging the audience to forgive the past, not fear the future, and embrace the present with the fullness of their birthright.
