The ram on this site is the animal that takes Isaac’s place on the altar, the horned head of Amun and Khnum, the golden fleece of Colchis and the sign of Aries. These are the pages where it appears.
The ram in the thicket
On Genesis 22 – The Binding of Isaac Abraham is stopped as he lifts the knife over his son, and an animal is found in his place:
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
Genesis 22:13
Later tradition gives the substitution to an angel. On Archangel Michael: God’s strength and protection it is Michael who prevents the sacrifice of Isaac by putting a ram in his place. On The Mission of the Ancient Hebrew People the exchange of Isaac for a ram stands for giving up the last remnants of the old clairvoyance. Oahspe tells the scene in its own way on First Book of God: the people see a ram near at hand, slaughter it and give the roasted flesh to the poor.
Amun, Khnum and the ram’s head
On The worship of Crawling things rams are linked to Amun, king of the gods in the New Kingdom, who is shown as a man with a ram’s head or simply as a ram. On Gods of the Ancient Egypt Ammon is recognized by a ram’s head, a double plume, a vase and a Canopus. On Ta Seti, Africa’s Early Powerhouse Khnum, god of the source of the Nile, is ram-headed and shapes humans on a potter’s wheel.
The golden fleece and the vision of Daniel
On The Argonauts and Mount Pelion the Golden Fleece is the skin of a golden-haired, winged ram, kept in Colchis and guarded by a dragon that never sleeps, a symbol of authority and kingship. On Archangel Gabriel: God’s Revelation Daniel sees a ram and a goat in a vision, and Gabriel is sent to explain it to him.
A god named Ram in Atlantis
In the channeled novel on Selestor’s Men of Atlantis Ram is one of the gods of Atlantis, and Selestor claims the cross as an Atlantean symbol:
Nay, not of theirs but of Atlantian origin the cross. A symbol in the temples to that god they designated "Ram."
Selestor, in Selestor's Men of Atlantis
On What Does Selestor’s Men of Atlantis Claim About the Lost Continent? I note that priests arranged marriages at birth under gods like Ram or Ses. Ram also appears in Oahspe as a heavenly figure: on Karnak I list him beside Vishnu, Etau and Osiris.
From the bull to the ram
On Anunnaki gods list the brood of Tiamat includes fish-men and rams, which I read as constellations, the rams being Aries. On God led Abraham to the ancient land of Ham, a pre-flood region the move from Taurus to Aries, from bull cults to ram symbolism, is linked to Abraham’s ram sacrifice.
