In The Sacred Symbols of Mu James Churchward treats the sacred symbols as they were before Mu sank. The sun, called Ra, is the one collective symbol of the Deity. The Four Great Primary Forces, the seven-headed Naga, the feathered Quetzalcoatl, the lotus, the Tau, and the plain cross carry the rest. He reads the same figures in Mexico, Egypt, India, and the Pacific, and he says later religions only changed their clothes.
Mu is the motherland, the Lands of the West, the Empire of the Sun, one great island with two smaller companions. He dates the sinking about 10,000 B.C. and also about 12,000 years ago, on a Friday the 13th of the month Zac. Atlantis is a colony. Osiris studied in Mu and purged the Atlantean priesthood. Thoth of Atlantis planted Egypt. The Biblical flood, in this book, is a magnetic cataclysm, the same event as the glacial period.
