Are You Living Your Life in the Rear-View Mirror?

The Ego and Its Attachment to the Past

The ego is described as living in the rear-view mirror, constantly focused on the past. It clings to past feelings and attitudes, projecting them onto the present. This fixation prevents forward-looking awareness, resulting in the perpetuation of illusions.

Awakening of the Soul

When the soul awakens, it begins to look forward and confronts the reality of death, including the eventual death of the ego. This marks the beginning of transformation and the detachment from ego identification.

Facing Mortality

The soul, upon acknowledging its mortality, realizes the importance of living a fulfilling life. This realization prompts an inner dialogue about whether life has been lived meaningfully. A near-death experience often motivates significant changes in one’s character to avoid regret or the need to resolve unresolved issues in future lives.

The Path of Renunciation

Renouncing ego identification is emphasized as the path to freedom. This renunciation is not limited to specific habits but extends to the entirety of egoic attitudes and fixations. Conditions and beliefs are subject to change, creating contradictions and necessitating self-refinement.

Understanding Reality

Reality is described as infinite and devoid of fixed meaning, being a projection of consciousness. Recognition of this emptiness allows for liberation from dualistic perceptions. This state enables one to see the world as a malleable dream or symbolic representation.

Compassion and Omnicentric Acceptance

Compassion arises from recognizing the zero point within all beings, despite apparent contradictions in values or attitudes. All perspectives are seen as necessary for the structure of the whole. This acceptance fosters a harmonious view of existence, even when faced with opposing or conflicting viewpoints.

The Nature of Duality

Dualities such as love and hatred, light and dark, are seen as inherent to egoic perception. Liberation occurs when one stops taking these dualities seriously and engages with them playfully. This playful approach signifies spiritual freedom.

The Cycles of Yugas

The teachings describe the cycles of time, or yugas, in which different forces dominate:

  • Satya Yuga: A time of divine play.
  • Treta Yuga: Semi-divine beings play.
  • Dvapara Yuga: Archons and titans are prominent.
  • Kali Yuga: Demonic forces dominate temporarily.

Each yuga offers opportunities for different types of play and expression.

The Essence of Dharma

Dharma is described as the recognition of beauty and divinity in all beings and moments, free from judgment but mindful of the need to transcend egoic particularities. This perspective brings a new, harmonious beauty into the world.

The End of the Cycle

The end of the current cycle, marked by the return of divine play, is seen as a transformative moment in the history of existence. This transformation brings a heightened vibrational frequency, symbolized by the “mango-colored light” of pure bliss and unity.

The Call to Awakening

The teaching concludes with an invitation to embody the infinite light and life of the true self. By aligning with this divine nature, individuals contribute to the upliftment of collective consciousness and the transition into a new age of play and freedom.
