Alcyone is a name I keep meeting on two very different levels: as one of the seven Pleiades of Greek myth, and as a star that channeled and Theosophical sources lift far above its place in the night sky. These are the pages where I wrote about her.
A central sun?
On Central suns I quote the Pleiadians as channeled by Barbara Marciniak:
There are central suns within your galactic system and a central sun within this universe. The Mayans named this central sun Alcyone.
Barbara Marciniak, Bringers of the Dawn
On Rainbow bridge I note that no primary Mayan source, codex or inscription, supports naming Alcyone a central sun or describing solar orbits around it, and that scholars view these as modern reinterpretations.
One of the seven sisters
On The myth of the Pleiades as seven sisters transformed into stars to escape Orion Alcyone is one of the seven sisters: Maia, Electra, Taygete, Alcyone, Celaeno, Sterope and Merope. On Pleione, one of the 3,000 daughters of the Titans Oceanus these sisters are frequently pursued by Orion, the giant hunter. On Nymphs I note that the names of these star-nymphs are also the names of nymphs, and on The Pleiadians their names are immortalized in the stars. On The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters my table gives Alcyone as the wife of Ceyx, turned into a kingfisher.
Alcyone and the starseeds
On All humans with souls on Earth are either starseeds or Earth-native souls Alcyone is one of the stars from which the 75 million Pleiadian starseeds now incarnated are said to originate. On Darwin’s theory of evolution makes sense to a point Elder Manakak appears in my list as the leader of Alcyone.
The Alcyone of the Theosophists
Annie Besant and Charles Leadbeater used Alcyone as the name of an individual followed through many lives. On Beginning of the 5th Root Race Besant places Alcyone in the family of Mars, a grandson of the Manu, and names Alcyone’s sons Uranus and Neptune. On The Fourth Root Race Alcyone, some one hundred and twenty lives back, was the son of a man who followed the rites of a dark cult. On The Sinking of Poseidonis and Its Impact on Ancient Egypt I date an event in Leadbeater’s account to circa the 21st life of Alcyone.
