The Mystery of the Ages

Marie, Countess of Caithness, Duchesse de Pomár, published The Mystery of the Ages as a reading of one secret doctrine inside many religions. The copy I used is the third edition, London, C. L. H. Wallace, 1887. On the Atlantis question she does not choose. The Hindus may come from Tibet, from Egypt, or from a pre-historical Atlantian world. Egypt, India, Persia, Mexico, and Peru may share one primeval system from the lost Continent of Atlan. The Hebrews, and possibly the Persians, may be tribes of ancient Atlantis. She gives that continent no year and no shoreline. The year she does print is 1881, the last of an old dispensation, which a footnote ties to the Grand Gallery of the Great Pyramid.
