Ellora Caves: A Monument to Lord Shiva
The Ellora Caves are a significant archaeological site located approximately 320 kilometers (198 miles) northeast of Mumbai. Cave 16, known as the Kailasa Temple, is a monumental shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, a key figure in the Hindu Trinity. Shiva is associated with both destruction and creation.
Standing three stories high, the Kailasa Temple is estimated to be twice as tall as the Parthenon in Athens. Archaeologists believe the temple was carved directly from the hillside, beginning at the top and progressing downward.
Construction Challenges
Historians estimate that over 400,000 tons of rock were removed during the construction of the Kailasa Temple. Mainstream archaeologists propose that this monumental task was completed in 18 years. Calculations suggest that for this to be possible, workers must remove five tons of rock every hour, working 12-hour shifts daily without breaks.
This pace is considered implausible, even with modern technology. Some experts believe constructing the temple would require closer to a century. Additionally, the question remains as to where the excavated rock was disposed of, as no evidence of rock piles exists in the vicinity, nor has the material been used in other structures nearby.
Theories of Advanced Technology
Ancient texts, such as the Vedic scriptures, describe a device called “Bastra.” This machine is said to be able to drill into and vaporize rock, effectively transforming it into air. Ancient astronaut theorists speculate that this device might have been a form of advanced technology potentially used to construct the Kailasa Temple.
These theorists suggest that the temple may not have been carved from the top down, as mainstream scholars propose, but rather from the bottom up.
Underground Tunnels and Hidden Mysteries
The site features tunnels that lead deep underground. Local authorities have restricted access to these areas, but some believe the tunnels connect to a vast underground city beneath the Kailasa Temple.
Ancient astronaut theorists link these tunnels to the Great Flood, which is described in various mythologies. They propose that an underground city might have served as a refuge during this period, potentially functioning as an extraterrestrial base.
Extraterrestrial Connections
The theorists further posit that Lord Shiva, revered as a deity, may have been an extraterrestrial being who imparted advanced technology to ancient humans. They argue that this knowledge may have been lost or destroyed over time, leaving only the enigmatic structures like the Kailasa Temple as evidence.
Could the hidden tunnels beneath the temple and its unexplained construction methods point to extraterrestrial intervention? These questions continue to intrigue and challenge researchers.
