Meaning: Berossus bridges Sumerian Ziusudra into Greek ears and keeps the bird motif that Eridu Genesis no longer preserves.
They are three flood survivors in one comparative tradition: Sumerian Ziusudra (Eridu Genesis), Akkadian Utnapishtim (Gilgamesh XI / Atrahasis neighborhood), and biblical Noah (Genesis 6-9).

Bird tests are clear in Gilgamesh and Berossus; they are not preserved in the surviving Eridu Genesis tablet.
